Kurginyan: Transnistria is more than a match for Kishinev and Kiev

30.04.2022, Moscow.

Transnistria is a territory that is more than a match for Kishinev and Kiev, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 26 on The Great Game program on Channel One.

Kurginyan indicated that, unlike Moldavia and Ukraine, Transnistria enjoys an inter-ethnic peace. When the Soviet Union still existed, Transnistria firmly embarked on a pro-Russian path. The political scientist reminded that in the Soviet era any regions that wanted to exit it had to carry out a referendum. In Transnistria, such a referendum took place, and the people voted to stay in the USSR (Russia).

“I do not think that anyone can defeat Transnistria. Its internal peaces, based on inter-ethnic peace and rule of law and norms of living and cultural life, is at the highest level. I do not think that Kishinev or Ukraine can defeat such a territory,” the political scientist said.

According to Kurginyan, the attack against Transnistria suggests that the world is moving towards an escalation of the conflict, which will become multiple and affect more regions.
