DPR reports resuming strikes against Nazis at Azovstal

22.04.2022, Donetsk.

Encircled Ukrainian Nazi units did not take advantage of the provided humanitarian corridors, and, therefore, fire strikes on the enemy in the Azovstal industrial zone were resumed, the press service of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR PM) reported on April 22.

The report said that for reasons of humanity, several humanitarian corridors were opened for civilians and fighters to leave the plant, but no one used them.

“Therefore, the fire strikes on the enemy on the territory of the plant continues, and the perimeter of the plant is securely blocked, in order to prevent the breakthrough of the Ukrainian army,” the press service of the DPR PM reads.

At a meeting with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu on April 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the order to cancel the storming of the industrial zone of the Azovstal plant.

“This is a case where we have to think – that is, we always have to think, but in this case all the more about preserving the lives and health of our soldiers and officers. You don’t have to go into these catacombs and crawl underground into these industrial facilities there. Block off this industrial zone so that a fly doesn’t fly through it,” commented the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Russia on his order.
