Progress of the liberation of Ukraine. Rossa Primavera News Agency’s report. March 28 (5:00 pm)

Rossa Primavera News Agency publishes a summary of events in Ukraine as of 5 p.m. on March 28.

The Kiev regime continues to suffer defeat on all fronts. The armed forces of the Russian Federation are conducting a successful offensive in the course of a special military operation.

During the day on March 27, operational-tactical aviation and missile forces hit 36 military targets in Ukraine. Among them:

2 control points;

2 anti-aircraft missile systems;

1 multiple rocket launcher system;

3 ammunition depots;

2 fuel and lubricant depots;

23 areas where Ukrainian military vehicles were amassed.

Russian aviation and air defense forces shot down 4 Ukrainian Su-24s in the air over Chernigov region, including two in the area of Repka and two more in the area of Gorodnya. A Ukrainian Su-27 was shot down near Kramatorsk in Donbass.

During the day, 19 Ukrainian drones were destroyed near Kapitonovka, Prishib, Andreevka, Balakleya, Bulgakovo, Bezymyannoye, Gorodnya, Zgurovka, Krasnogorlovka, Mandrykino, Mariupol, Termakhovka, Tolkachi, Chernobaevka and Yakolevka.

Additionally, five missiles of the Ukrainian Smerch multiple-launch rocket system were shot down in the air near the Chornobaevka airfield in the Kherson region.

In total, since the start of the special military operation, the following military targets were destroyed:

308 Ukrainian drones;

1,713 tanks and other armored combat vehicles;

170 multiple rocket launcher systems;

715 artillery guns.

The Russian Armed Forces continued their successful offensive, penetrating two kilometers deep into the defense of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian army and reaching the southern outskirts of Novoselovka.

Liberation of the LPR and DPR

As of March 28, 2022, in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, a grouping of DPR troops, with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces, has liberated and established full control over 133 settlements.

Combats to liberate Mariinka, Novomikhaylovka, and Novobakhmutovka are underway.

LPR units during the offensive advanced by 5 kilometers, took Ivanovka and Novosadovoye villages under their control and reached the line of Novolyublino and Terny.

Mariupol

The central districts of Mariupol are being mopped up of Ukrainian troops, the DPR expects to take full control of the city in the near future.

Ramzan Kadyrov, head of the Chechen Republic, arrived in Mariupol and met with General Mordvichev, commander of the 8th Army. Kadyrov is personally in charge of the special operation, meets with servicemen and outlines plans for the assault.

The humanitarian situation in the city is also being improved. So far it is not possible to resolve this issue in full because the city has not yet been completely liberated, but local residents are already receiving humanitarian aid: medical care, food, water, everything they need for their children and so on.

On 28 March, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., 272 people, including 66 children, were evacuated from Mariupol to Bezymyonnoye, Novoazovsk district.

At present, they are in the evacuation assistance point, which has been deployed by the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Situation on the territory of LPR and DPR

The enemy opened fire on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic using 122 mm multiple rocket launchers, 122 mm artillery and 120 mm mortars. Areas of nine populated areas of the Republic came under Ukrainian army’s fire.

According to the DPR representative to the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination, 31 residential buildings and six civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged over the past 24 hours. The Ukrainian militants fired a total of 139 rounds of ammunition.

As a result of Ukrainian army’s shelling of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, previously liberated by a group of DPR troops, 56 people were wounded. A total of 58 civilians were wounded in varying degrees of severity throughout the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic during that period, the DPR Ministry of Health notes.

As a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian army, 78 transformer substations, 5 boiler houses, 9,861 customers were left without electric power, said the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the DPR.

Repair and restoration work will begin as soon as the situation allows.

As a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian army, a gas pipeline was damaged and a house on Orbita Street caught fire.

Militants opened indiscriminate fire at the center of the Kiev district, shells hit densely populated neighborhoods near the Donetsk City shopping center.

Houses on Sovetskaya Street in Spartak, Yasinovataya district, were damaged as a result of the shelling.

Liberated territories

The 118th humanitarian convoy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation arrived in Donetsk today. The cargo included food, as well as mobile power stations to provide the affected population, including in the liberated territories, with power. The total weight of the cargo was more than 126 tons. Its distribution will be handled by the state commission, according to the applications received earlier.

The sowing campaign of early spring cereals and industrial crops has started in the DPR. Spring wheat, barley, oats, peas and corn are planned to sow on the area of 74.7 thousand hectares, sunflower, mustard and flax – 56.9 thousand hectares. Despite the fact that the sowing campaign has started on time, there is a risk of violation of the terms and the technological process.

Political situation

Putin gave the 155th Independent Brigade of Marines and the 126th Independent Brigade of Coastal Defense the guards’ level.

Kadyrov was given the rank of lieutenant general.

Talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul will begin tonight – a senior Turkish official.

Lavrov said Russia and Ukraine talks will resume “today-tomorrow” in Istanbul in a face-to-face format. According to the minister, Moscow expects the Russian-Ukrainian talks to succeed. There are chances for an agreement between Russia and Ukraine as the West begins to understand its gross mistakes, Lavrov said.

Moscow is ready to consider different locations for Russian-Ukrainian talks, including Belgrade, Lavrov said.

Peskov: There will be no meeting between Putin and Zelensky after the talks between the delegations in Istanbul.

Russia is now obliged to guarantee that people in Donbas never suffer from the Kiev regime again, Lavrov said.

Peskov on torture of Russian soldiers in Ukraine, “Those who took part in this torture should be prosecuted, and they should be called to account for their actions.”

Prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine is not a topic of the negotiations between the delegations in Istanbul – Peskov.

Liberated Territories of Ukraine

Putin instructed the government, the Central Bank and Gazprom to convert payments for Russian gas sold to unfriendly countries into rubles by March 31.

Since March 15, the Suez Canal Authority has canceled the discount for LNG tankers. Until last October this discount was 25%, then it was reduced to 15%. Now it has been cancelled.

Russia extends the ban on the export of ammonium nitrate for another month. The exceptions are the DPR, LPR, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The export ban will make it possible to fully satisfy the needs of the Russian agroindustrial complex and industrial enterprises. Russia’s Uralchem is the world’s second largest producer of ammonium nitrate.

Peskov on the possible refusal of the EU to buy gas for rubles, “We will solve the problems as they arise. The fact that we will not supply gas for free is unambiguous. Rubles or Euros? The CEO of Moldovagaz told how Moldova will pay for Russian fuel. “According to the contract, we have an option to pay starting from May 1 either in rubles or in euros. We will proceed from the opportunities on the market. If there is an opportunity to pay in euros, we will pay in euros, if it is in rubles, then in rubles. If there is an opportunity to pay in mixed currencies – euros and rubles, then we will pay in both euros and rubles,” said Vadim Ceban.

The main option for the ministerial conference of OPEC+ countries on March 31 remains the plan to restore oil production in May to 400,000 bpd, according to a source in one of the delegations.

The Energy Minister of Germany said that the G7 countries refuse Russia’s demand to pay for energy resources in rubles. And they are ready for all scenarios. According to him, the ministers of all G7 countries agreed that changing the currency of payment would be a violation of the contracts and demanded from their companies not to pay in rubles.

Ukraine

According to unconfirmed information, the member of the Ukrainian parliament Rustem Umerov, a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the talks with Russia, was poisoned in Kiev. He survived, allegedly there are other victims besides him.

  • $119 billion in infrastructure losses;
  • $112 billion – loss of GDP in 2022;
  • $90.5 billion – civilian losses;
  • $80 billion – losses of businesses and organizations;
  • $54 billion – losses of direct investment in the Ukrainian economy;
  • $48 billion – losses of the state budget.

These blatantly fake calculations are made for one purpose – to bill Russia. And Ukraine is sure to do so. There is only one recipe for this – the complete surrender of Ukraine.

The Opposition Platform — For Life party has suspended its work. Rabinovich, co-chair of the party, “We have always talked about peace. The party was built as a party of peace! But now there is no peace! The party is suspended!”

Western countries

British Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace announced that the first batch of Starstreak SAMs has been delivered to Ukraine, and the Ukrainian military has already been trained to operate them.

Georgian banks told RIA Novosti that Russian citizens do not need to sign documents condemning the Russian operation in Ukraine to open an account. Berlin considers achieving a cease-fire in Ukraine to be the primary goal, the German Cabinet of Ministers said, i.e., it essentially expects the special operation to stop.
