The era of a unipolar world has come to its end, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with RIA Novosti on March 23.
“The unipolar world has come to an end. The US is no longer the master of planet Earth,” the former Russian president said.
One month ago, Russia launched a special military operation in Donbass. Its purpose was to protect the citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, whose independence Russia recognized on February 21, 2022.
Russia also intended to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. At the beginning of the operation, Russia urged the Ukrainian military to stop resisting and lay down their weapons.
The US and Western countries condemned Russia’s actions, but so far refrained from direct intervention in Ukraine. At the same time, they have increased arms deliveries to the regime in Ukraine.
