La Stampa passes off a photo of an attack by the Ukrainian army on Donetsk as a "Russian attack"

A photo of Donetsk after a missile attack by the Ukrainian army was passed off as a photo of alleged victims of a Russian special operation by correspondents of the Italian newspaper La Stampa. This became known on March 16.

In fact, the author of the photo is URA.RU photo correspondent Eduard Korniyenko. The foto shows the aftermath of the Ukrainian army’s strike on Donetsk on March 14, which killed 21 people and injured dozens of civilians.

The image was accompanied by headlines in the Italian publication about “massacres” and “the threat of an assault on Kiev.”

On March 14, DPR army air defense forces intercepted a Tochka-U missile launched by the Ukrainian military. The falling debris affected residents of Donetsk.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Donbass following requests for assistance from the DPR and LPR. He stated that the purpose of the special operation was “to protect people who have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.”

The special operation plans to “demilitarize and denazify” Ukraine. According to the president, all those responsible for crimes against civilians will be prosecuted.

It is noted that during the special operation, strikes are carried out on military infrastructure. to avoid casualties among civilians.
