Progress of the liberation of Ukraine. Rossa Primavera News Agency's report on March 2 (05:00 a.m.)

As of 5:00 a.m. on March 3, the Russian Defense Ministry appealed to all international organizations, as well as to the leadership of Ukraine, to immediately ensure the creation of humanitarian corridors for all citizens who have expressed a desire to do so, all without exception, to go to safe places.

Kiev direction

Residents of Chernigov reported that the Ukrainian army attached Belarusian flags to tanks and filmed them on video to turn the population against Belarus.

There was an explosion near Kiev’s Southern Railway Station. According to the Ukrainian side, the air defense system shot down a missile that was flying at one of the control centers, shrapnel damaged a heating main.

There were four explosions in Kiev at night: in the Pechersk, Poznyaki and Goloseevsky districts.

Kharkov direction

In Kharkiv, a missile destroyed the headquarters of the territorial defence battalions. The Russian Air Force hit a target in the building of the Shevchenko plant, which produces military electronics.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ MLRS fire from positions to the west and southwest of Kharkov at residential areas.

The Russian Armed Forces encircled Balakleya and approached Izyum.

A large group of the Ukrainian forces are moving in the Volchansk-Velyky Burluk-Pechenega area.

Between the villages of Russkaya Lozovaya and Velykiye Prokhody, Ukrainian Nazis shot two families who were trying to evacuate to Russia in cars.

Arsen Avakov returned to Kharkov and headed the defense of the Ukrainian army – it was he who for a long time supervised all the national battalions in Ukraine, including the Right Sector (organization banned in Russia). Avakov’s arrival is associated with the fact that the Ukrainian army and the nationalist battalions began to withdraw their units from Kharkov.

Ukrainian authorities forcibly detain a large group of Indian students in Kharkiv.

Zaporizhzhye direction

Russian armed forces took control of the town of Kamyanka-Dneprovskaya in the Zaporizhzhye region (west of Energodar).

Russian Armed Forces took control of Popovo, Novogorovka, Novomikhailovka, and Lyubimovka settlements.

South direction

In Voznesensk, the Ukrainian army blew up the railroad and road bridges connecting the central part of the city with the Bolgarka district in the southeast, and disconnected the district from gas, water supply, drainage system, and electricity. Bolgarka is under the control of Russian troops.

According to unconfirmed information, the Ukrainian general staff is asking the president’s office to negotiate a cease-fire in order to have time to prepare Odessa for defense – the city is completely open from land to Russian troops.

In Odessa, the territorial defense battalions are blocking and unloading transit trucks from Azerbaijan, Belarus and Turkey.

At about 2 a.m., explosions rocked near the village of Chernobaevka near Kherson, near which the city’s airport is located.

Liberation of the LPR and DPR

LPR troops, supported by the Russian Armed Forces, took control of five more villages, while the DPR took control of four more villages and towns.

DPR servicemen captured a group of Ukrainian soldiers in Volnovakha.

A group of DPR troops closed a pocket around Mariupol. The combats to liberate Mangush, Nikolskoye and Stary Krym are underway. In the east of the city, combat is underway directly in the suburbs of Mariupol.

Russian Defense Ministry: Azov (organization banned in Russia) militants in Mariupol booby-trapped Azovstal plant shops – residents continue to work, unaware that nationalists are preparing to blow up the plant with people in case the city’s defenses are breached.

In Mariupol, there is no light, water or mobile communications, and store shelves are empty.

The agglomeration of Rubizhnoye-Severodonetsk-Lisichansk is surrounded from three sides, and the combat to liberate the agglomeration continues.

There is information that advanced units of the LPR People’s Militia reached Krasny Liman (15 km northeast of Slavyansk).

Situation in the republics

The DPR.

As a result of the hostilities in the DPR, 25 civilians were killed in two weeks, 95 more were wounded, among them 4 children.

On March 3, the intensity of shelling decreased markedly compared to previous days. A representative of the DPR People’s Militia said that counterbattery fire by the artillery units of the DPR People’s Militia destroyed most of the artillery of the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 25th Airborne Brigade stationed near Donetsk.

As a result of the hit, the boiler house of the Zuevskaya thermal power plant was damaged. The roof was on fire.

The Ukrainian army attack (sortie) on Gorlovka did not yield results, and both sides suffered casualties.

In Telmanovo, three employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were wounded when an explosive device exploded, one of them died.

On the direction of Troitskoye – Ozeryanovka, the enemy used 82mm weaponry and AGS-17;

On the direction of Shumy – Gorlovka (village Schacht 6/7): the enemy used 120mm weaponry;

On the direction of Marinka – Donetsk the enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars.

The LPR

On the direction of Novotoshkovskoye village – the area of Golubovskoye village, the enemy used 120mm mortars. As a result of this shelling, two 15-year-old teenagers were wounded on the Golubovskoye-Kirovsk road. One of them is in extremely serious condition.

Political situation

During Russia’s special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, 498 servicemen were killed and 1,597 were wounded in varying degrees of severity.

The Ukrainian side continues to suffer losses in personnel who refused to lay down their arms and thus could have a chance to survive. Ukraine’s losses during the Russian operation amounted to more than 2,870 dead.

Strategic facilities and materiel stockpiles are taken out of action, radars and air defense complexes, and accumulations of equipment are destroyed. Molotov cocktail production facilities and advanced positions are eliminated. Arsenals and position areas are taken out of action.

The Russian delegation is expecting Ukrainian representatives to attend the second round of talks in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The Ukrainian side has confirmed that the talks will take place, but wants to hold them elsewhere.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said:

 Russia’s position in talks with Ukraine: Crimea is part of the Russian Federation, recognition of the DPR and LPR within administrative borders, demilitarization.

 Russia offers Ukraine an agreement that will ensure the legal rights of all peoples of this country.

 During the special operation, we do everything we can to prevent serious casualties among the civilian population.

 Russia will not allow Ukraine to obtain nuclear weapons.

 Russia is ready to discuss with Ukraine the issue of security guarantees.

 Ukraine must undergo a denazification procedure, as Germany did in the past.

 There is no mechanism to deny Russia a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the creation of a humanitarian response headquarters for the situation in Ukraine; its main task is to provide humanitarian aid to the people of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine.

Humanitarian convoys went from Crimea to the south of Ukraine.

The delivery of humanitarian aid to the territory of Ukraine from the Belgorod region has begun.

Ukraine

In Ukraine, all men from 18 to 60 years old who evacuated to the west of the country are drafted into the military registration and enlistment offices. In Ukrainian cities, men have already begun to be drafted into the army right from the streets and stores.

Bank cards issued by Russian and Belarusian banks stopped working in Ukraine.

According to unverified information, the US citizens from the Forward Observations Group PMC were spotted in Kiev.

Western countries

Ukraine received from Estonia the second batch of Javelin anti-tank missile systems.

The German Bild newspaper, citing sources in the Cabinet of Ministers reports that 500 missiles Stinger and 1000 anti-tank grenade launchers Panzerfaust had already arrived to Ukraine from Germany.

The US has supplied hundreds of Stinger MANPADS to Ukraine in a few days. On February 28 alone, 200 complexes were transferred.

Ukrainian channels are reporting about the delivery of “humanitarian aid” from Poland to the Lvov region. However, to further deliver this “aid” to Zhytomyr, Kherson, Odessa, and Kyiv, it was reported that trucks were used to transport weapons.

The EU prohibits the sale, delivery, transfer or export of euro bills to Russia with a number of exceptions.

The 512-foot yacht of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov was confiscated by German authorities.

US aviation authorities said Russian planes in US airspace could be intercepted and crews detained.

The Pentagon canceled missile tests to demonstrate that it had no plans to increase the readiness of US nuclear forces.

The Romanian Defense Ministry lost first the MiG-21 and then the IAR 303 Puma helicopter that flew after it. The Western segment blamed it all on Russia, but the Romanian Defense Ministry said it was due to bad weather conditions.
