Zelensky introduces a visa-free regime for foreign mercenaries

Foreign militants, ready to fight in a Ukrainian international legion, will be able to enter the territory of Ukraine without visas. The decree was signed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on February 28.

“From March 1 a visa-free entry regime is being introduced until the adoption of another decision of the President for foreigners who want to join the International Legion of Ukraine,” the document says.

The decree on the formation of the international legion was signed by Zelensky on February 28. Prior to this, the Ukrainian President officially invited foreign mercenaries to Ukraine, including from the UK.

From February 24, Russia’s army has been conducting a special operation in order to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine in response to the aggression of the Ukrainian forces and its Nazi groups against the republics of Donbass.
