DPR organizes two humanitarian corridors from Mariupol

Two humanitarian corridors will be organized for civilians in Mariupol, Eduard Basurin, deputy head of the DPR People’s Militia, said during a briefing on March 1.

“Two humanitarian corridors will be organized by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation together with the DPR People’s Militia for all civilians who wish to temporarily leave for safety,” the DPR representative said.

One of the corridors will be opened in the direction of Zaporizhzhye region, and the second corridor will be opened in the direction of Russia. Both corridors will be open for 24 hours. Russian authorities are ready to accept all refugees who will arrive from Mariupol.

Basurin also spoke about the continued lawless actions of Ukrainian nationalist formations, which were able to obtain a large number of weapons in the current situation. They use them against civilians, carrying out murders and looting.

In turn, DPR units continue to liberate populated areas in Donbas. Over the past 24 hours, Shyrokino, Berdyanskoye, Lebedynskoye, Lomakino, Talakovka and Vodyanoye were liberated from the Ukrainian army.
