The British specialists are waging an information war against Russia in order to create chaos, head of the political science and sociology department at Plekhanov Russian Economic University and expert of the association of military political scientists Andrey Koshkin said in a commentary for Rossa Primavera News Agency February 24.
Koshkin said, “There is an information war going on, ‘trolls’ are working, and it is all connected with military technologies, once used in Operation Desert Storm.” According to him, such tasks are entrusted to the 77th Brigade of the British Armed Forces, which is a cyber formation. And at the moment, specialists of this cyber brigade are trying out technologies of information warfare against Russia.
“Many people have come to create this kind of chaos in the heads far from their places. And, most importantly, these groups are working to plunge Ukrainians and, of course, the ordinary people of European states into fear,” the military political scientist commented on the communities in social networks, where there are shocking reports about what is happening in Ukraine.
“Many issues require serious verification. This is one. Two, this is a military special operation, it is itself classified,” the expert explained the abundance of diverse information on the Ukrainian summons.
According to the scientist, the only reliable source of information on Ukraine now is the Russian Defense Ministry. “No one in the world right now gives more objective information than the Ministry of Defense,” the expert stressed.
On the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation to protect the republics of Donbass from the armed formations of Ukraine, in order to demilitarize Ukraine. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian army destroyed 83 military infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine.
