The USA and NATO intend to finish off Russia militarily and put an end to the multipolar world, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said, the February 22 edition of Últimas Noticias reports.
It is reported that the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, expressed his full support for Russia and his counterpart Vladimir Putin in the face of attacks made after the Russian president’s decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
Maduro expressed “all his support for President Putin in defending peace in Russia, in defending peace in this region, in bravely defending his people and his homeland.”
The Venezuelan president stressed that Russia has every right to defend its territory because Ukraine intends to join NATO, which could mean a threat to Russian security.
“The North American empire and NATO intend to do away with Russia militarily, stop Russia and put an end to this multipolar world, which has already become a reality,” Maduro stressed
It is noted that the Venezuelan president condemned the fact that the nationalists in Ukraine have always refused dialogue, despite calls from Russian President Vladimir Putin. “The fascist elite that carried out the coup d’état in Ukraine and the groups that came to power have stayed away from diplomacy, from dialogue and preferred to join Russia’s military encirclement plans,” Maduro said.
On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin, after an extraordinary meeting of the Russian Security Council in connection with the aggravation of the situation in Donbas, announced the recognition of the independence of the DPR and LPR. Putin instructed the Russian Defense Ministry to ensure the maintenance of peace on the territories of the republics of Donbass.
