President of Belarus describes the world if Russia collapses

07.01.2022, Minsk.

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko described the situation in Kazakhstan as an attack on the perimeter of Russia in order to drown Russia in blood, Sputnik Belarus news agency reported on January 7.

“Kazakhstan is an attempt to attack the post-Soviet states on Russia’s perimeter. They need to drown Russia in blood. I repeat: if Russia collapses, we won’t even notice where we would be. We will simply be stepped over. As I say, they will destroy us very easily. So, no matter what it takes, we must preserve the center of our civilization, the center of our Orthodoxy and not only. Those lands, which today are part of the Russian Federation,” the agency quotes Lukashenko.

A peacekeeping company of the Belarusian army was sent to Kazakhstan as part of the assistance of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The peacekeeping forces include the armed forces of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The total contingent will be about 3,000 people.
