US strategic intermediate-range missiles can appear in Europe, said Sergey Lavrov, REGNUM news agency reported on December 2.
According to the Russian foreign minister, the architecture of strategic stability in Europe is rapidly deteriorating. According to Lavrov, NATO completely ignores any Russia’s proposals to achieve agreements taking into account Russia’s interests. Meanwhile, the alliance’s military structure continues to approach the Russian territory.
“In contrast, the alliance’s military structure is irresponsibly moved towards the Russian borders,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov believes that the terrible scenario of military confrontation is coming back to Europe. According to the Russian foreign minister, it can come to the point that US intermediate-range missiles with nuclear warheads can return to Europe.
