Kurginyan: Veterinarians could help better understand the coronavirus

01.11.2021, Moscow.

The fact that the Russian authorities have directed their attention domestic original experience of fighting the coronavirus is a positive signal, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in his article “Vaccine in the Manger. How Should the Coronavirus be Treated?” published in issue No. 451 of the Essence of Time newspaper.

The political scientist explained that in 1990s the Russian solutions were given away abroad for free, and then they often returned as foreign solutions for “very high prices.” “It was commonplace that our students and graduate students were encouraged to go abroad to adopt things there, for us to be able to keep in the mainstream and march eine Kolonne towards a happy future following the Western path,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.

In this regard, the attention of the authorities to the domestic drug products of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Honored Veterinary Physician of the Russian Federation, Member of the Food Security Academy Vladislav Laskavy is in any event something quite positive, regardless of the actual efficacy of this solution, the analyst noted.

According to the political scientist, in the context of fighting COVID-19, the position itself “A domestic solution! Let’s support our original approach!” is a positive fact.

Besides, according to the analyst, we should pay closer attention to the solutions that Russian veterinary physicians propose, because coronaviruses affected animals earlier than people. “Any development in the treatment of infectious diseases requires extensive time for appropriate design and testing. Testing is critical here. Only veterinary physicians had enough time in the context of fighting the coronavirus,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.

The expert urges that the veterinary experience should not be directly transferred to humans, but he notes that “an indirect use of this experience is absolutely necessary exactly because veterinary physicians had enough time” for thorough studies.

“We could look into what was happening in this field for years. They encountered certain barriers, blocks, and obstacles. Avoiding any copying, but through comparison, we could get a better understanding of what is happening to us and what kind of a coronavirus this is,” the political scientist indicates.
