The US places its stakes on the UK as an outpost in Eastern Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on September 29 on the program “Objectively” on the Belarusian TV channel ONT.
According to Kurginyan, within the context of the US “commercial and dubious” game, as well as given the fact that Biden took quite a heavy hit due to Afghanistan, “the United States will not let Europe out of its clutches.”
“But they [the US] are making an additional bet that the UK will become an outpost in everything related to Eastern Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. And this is serious! As Britain is much more aggressive than the United States, and it wants to buy a special place for itself due to this aggressiveness”, said Kurginyan.
The UK is increasing its influence in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, the analyst believes.
Kurginyan adds, “So they [the UK] have already wielded strong influence in Turkey and Ukraine, and they are uniting these two forces. They have very important positions in Warsaw and in the Baltic States. I believe that it is our direct interest, both Russian and Belarusian, to pay attention to this.”
On September 25, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky held meetings with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the UN General Assembly session in order to strengthen strategic partnership with powerful players and to form a system of global and regional security together with them.
On September 27, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko made a statement that several neighboring states had embarked on a course of confrontation with Belarus. According to him, armed forces of foreign countries, mainly from the United States, are being deployed to Poland.
Lukashenko also said that there is a new front in Ukrainian-Belarusian relations as people are being trained in Ukraine for subversive work in Belarus.
