The Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) twice on August 31, the REGNUM news agency reported citing the statement of the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC).
According to the report, the Kiev’s militants opened fire on Kalinovo town using 120 mm mortars and rocket-propelled grenade launchers (SPG-9). Also on August 31, the Ukrainian army shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) three times.
The Ukrainian army opened fire on the DPR using 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, an anti-tank guided missile system, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and small arms. Donetsk, Staromykhaylovka and Lozovoye villages came under fire.
Ukraine shelled the LPR 52 times in August, despite the Minsk agreements and the ceasefire.
