Russian senator accuses West of supporting “Anti-Russia” project

25.08.2021, Moscow.

West’s initiatives allegedly intended to support Ukraine are aimed at supporting the “Anti-Russia” project, Crimean Senator Sergey Tsekov said, RIA Novosti reported on August 25.

“First they spent $5 billion to ‘help’ Ukraine thus supporting the coup d’etat, because of which these people are now deprived, and now they want to help them,” Tsekov said.

“This has nothing to do with actually helping people; this money will be spent to anti-Russian propaganda,” he stressed. Tsekov believes that the funds will be used for the promotion of anti-Russia component in Ukraine.

According to the senator, this policy is dishonest and morally bankrupt. He noted that the West makes no attempts to stop the conflict in Ukraine, and it will continue.

According to Tsekov, Russia is a country that really helps ordinary people. “If they really want to help, they should send humanitarian goods there,” the senator recommended the West.

Previously, the British embassy to Ukraine said that Britain, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA would establish a foundation to counter the Russian influence in Ukraine.
