The US and UK authorities are not interested in the “Crimean Platform”, a diplomatic initiative by the Ukrainian government, said political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on August 5 on the Tema program on the Donetsk Union TV channel.
US President Joe Biden does not want to deal with Ukrainian issues now, noted Kurginyan. Biden has several reasons for such a pattern of behavior.
Biden relies heavily on the leftists in the US, who have a negative view towards Ukrainian nationalist battalions such as Azov (an organization banned in Russia). In addition, Biden is seriously involved in corruption cases in Ukraine, especially through his son Hunter Biden.
Also, Biden has to solve issues in other regions – in China, Iran, Afghanistan.
“To say: ’That’s it, if it’s the Russians – we’ll get them’, and everything else that follows; that’s one thing. Only no one wants to start a war. Not at all. It’s not the right place, not the right time, and there are too many headaches in the crumbling and decaying empire at the moment; therefore, why do they need such a platform?” said Kurginyan.
Seeing that, the Ukrainian side starts drifting towards the UK, noted the political scientist.
“And the UK does not need any Crimean Platforms. What it needs is a war. A nice quick one, in order to prevent any close ties developing between Germany and Russia,” said Kurginyan.
The greatest danger for the UK and part of the US elites is a rapprochement between Germany and Russia, noted the leader of the Essence of Time movement. At the same time, the current US president needs friendship with Germany, which he wants to use to distance the EU from China.
“But Europe doesn’t want it. Europe has a sweet deal with China. Biden is prepared to concede to Germany in everything, if only Germany accepts his policies on the key issues,” said Kurginyan.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and US President Biden agreed that the US will not interfere with the completion of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. At the same time, the US side retained the right to apply sanctions against the Russian Federation if Russia begins to use the new gas pipeline as a political tool.
