Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Aleksey Danilov said that Russia is destroying Ukraine with the help of European politicians. He said this in an interview with Novoye Vremya magazine on August 7.
According to him, Ukraine is facing many challenges, one of which is joining the European energy system in 2023.
“For this, we have to go through a lot of processes, we have to do a test disconnection from the common energy system with Russia, and Russia is definitely not helping us in this, but is doing everything to destroy our country,” the official said.
In his opinion, in order to achieve these goals in Europe, “mastodons” – politicians working for Russian companies – became active.
“These are unacceptable things. There are many of them: the Austrians, the French, the Germans. All these people who teach us how we should live,” Danilov said.
Aleksey Danilov often makes controversial statements. In early June, he said that France and Germany were to blame for Ukraine’s loss of Crimea. He also accused Moscow of seeking to turn the Black Sea into a lake. During the June flooding in Crimea, Danilov mocked the events on the peninsula at one of his briefings.
