The publication of the article by the Russian President Vladimir Putin must be followed by the implementation of the concept he proposed, political scientist, philosopher and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on July 15 on the Tema program of the Union channel.
“Putin says clearly and determinedly that the forces that took power in Ukraine want to transform Ukraine into an ‘anti-Russia’ and that we will never let this happen,” Kurginyan stressed his idea. “I am waiting to see what actions will follow from our side as well as from these ‘anti’ this summer and in the following period. And how the statement that we do not want this ‘anti-Ukraine’ will be implemented in practice.”
The political scientist noted that Ukraine has actually lost its sovereignty, and its transformation in a way unacceptable for Russia continues.
“They are giving shape to anything, except transforming the partially obedient cannon fodder into something more efficient and capable of running faster, shooting, and killing. I cannot see even a trace of any other processes,” Kurginyan said.
Also, according to the political scientist, a characteristic attribute of the Ukrainian process is unrestrained thievery plunging the people into poverty. The elite does not plan to stay there and be accountable for anything.
“New and new waves of this destructive thievery plunging the remaining people into poverty. And grins as they say that ‘it is okay, we will continue this way up to the last Ukrainian and then we will flee somewhere.’ And it does not matter what will happen to Ukraine!” the political scientist concluded.
The political scientist stressed that during the recent exacerbation Ukraine was told to withdraw its army, which was based on the understanding that otherwise a war would start.
“Any speculation that we withdrew our army was bluff, because it is not that the army was withdrawn. The point is that the Ukrainians, having understood after an appropriate order that any aggression on their part will have only one response, a war, drew back as ordered,” the political scientist explained.
Sergey Kurginyan explained that “a terrible process is being prepared” in Ukraine. He noted that Russia has been watching the events in a measured manner.
“Russia in the form it is today has no reason to make any moves now. It has taken a waiting position,” the leader of Essence of Time concluded.
On July 12 the Kremlin press service published Vladimir Putin’s article “On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians.” In the article the Russian leader unfolds his thesis on the unity discussing the milestones of Russia’s historical development.
