Bus carrying Syrian army’s soldiers explodes on a mine in Syria

Several Syrian Army soldiers were killed near Homs after a military bus exploded on a mine, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in Syria informed on July 8.

“Several soldiers were killed and wounded as a result of a mine explosion under a bus belonging to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA),” the source incident. The incident took place at night on the road between Al-Rasafa and Al-Sokhnah villages in the eastern Homs province.

According to some reports, 23 SAA soldiers have been killed in recent days in the Syrian desert region, including the Homs area. All of them were victims of mines placed by ISIL militants (organization banned in Russia).

A military operation is underway in the Syrian desert to eliminate underground cells of the Islamists. The operation involves forces of the Syrian army, allied formations, and aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source informed on July 7 that the government army, supported by its allies, has seized the headquarters of ISIL (organization banned in Russia) in the Syrian desert. The government army confiscated weapons from the seized headquarters.
