Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev noted the danger of the revival of biological weapons in the world, REGNUM news agency informed on June 24.
“There are clear indications of the attempts to use dangerous pathogens for military and political purposes. In fact, we are witnessing the process of revival of biological weapons,” Patrushev said.
Secretary of the Security Council specified that the problem of biosafety is not limited to coronavirus only. According to him, there are also other biological threats.
Patrushev drew attention to the activities of biological laboratories in individual countries and the fact that outbreaks of dangerous diseases are occurring in areas where such laboratories are located.
In April, Patrushev expressed the opinion that biological weapons could be developed in biolaboratories located near the borders of Russia and China and controlled by the United States.
