The lack of strategic planing for decades ahead will bring Russia to a defeat in the war for the global influence, said political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on June 17 on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia One channel.
The Chinese government and its persistent plans to reach full integration with Taiwan can serve as an example of political elites with a large-scale strategic planning, notes Kurginyan.
“Xi Jinping wants to live until about 2035, and by that time become the one who re-unifies Taiwan and China. It might be a big secret, but it’s true! China wants to take Taiwan, and it will get it, whatever it takes,” explained Kurginyan.
According to the political scientist, Russian political elites have to have the same mind set and think big. “If we would think about this issue then a question would come: what do we want? What kind of strategic planning do we have for the appropriate time frame? Because, if there is no large-scale – we lose, ” stressed Kurginyan.
On January 19, 2020, Wang Yang, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee (PCC) of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), said that in 2021 China will be actively involved in curbing any separatist activities among political forces advocating Taiwan’s independence, and promoting “development and re-unification between Taiwan and mainland China”.
Beginning 2021, China has been constantly conducting military exercises near the island, increasing their intensity.
