Donbass is the place where the global infernal evil of Nazism has met resistance, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 5 on the air of the Topic program on the Union channel of Donetsk.
The political scientist reminded that in 1980s the notion of glocalization was invented, which means linking global and local events. “The glocalization of Donbass is absolutely evident. It is the point of global resistance to something, it has local meaning in terms of territory as well as global meaning in historical and providential way.”
Donbass’ resistance emerged in response to the revival of Nazism in Ukraine, stressed Kurginyan. “No one understood why they were playing this Nazi card. No one! I still do not understand why they need Bandera. They should have said that they are defending a great democratic country (Ukraine) against a terrible and authoritarian one (Russia). But they played the card of Nazism!” said the expert.
Kurginyan explained the impudence of the revived Nazism with its banner “Knife the Moscovites” by the fact that Ukraine managed to connect with its demons, its dead. “I looked into the eyes of the pro-Bandera elders, they reflected their infinite desire to torture. An unquenched cruelty. An infernal one, not even bestial,” he added.
According to the political scientist, there was no need to revive the infernal evil of Nazism in order to secure the victory over former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. He believes that “some sort of devilry emerged there.”
The use of heavy bombers against peaceful Donetsk and Lugansk can only be explained by the resurrection of the anti-spirit, stressed the expert. However, “the spirit was resurrected in response to this anti-spirit,” added Sergey Kurginyan.
