"Immortal Regiment" commemorative event held in Munich

10.05.2021, Munich.

The “Immortal Regiment” commemorative event in honor of Victory Day was held in Munich on May 9, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s correspondent informed.

The Essence of Time cell in Germany organized the event.

Because of restrictions connected with an epidemic of coronavirus, the event was held not as a march but as a meeting in the city center, on the Square for the Victims of National Socialism. The participants were required to keep a social distance and wear masks. Nevertheless, unlike last year, when all mass events were completely banned, this year it was possible to obtain approval from the municipal authorities.

The congratulatory speech highlighted the feat of the Soviet warrior-liberators, who liberated Europe from Nazism. The fundamental difference of the Great Patriotic War from all other wars fought by mankind and its sacred nature was emphasized.
