06.05.2021, Donetsk.

The Ukrainian side violated the unlimited ceasefire seven times over the past 24 hours, the Press Service of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire (JCCCC) reported on May 6 on its official website.

According to a daily report of the ceasefire violations, over the period from 03.00 a.m. of May 5 to 03:00 a.m. of May 6 the Ukrainian groups used small arms, mortars, and grenade launchers. Twice the shelling of the DPR territory took place on the Gorlovka direction, five times on the Donetsk direction, and once at the Mariupol direction.

“The following towns and villages were in the Ukrainian army’s shelling zone: Gorlovka (the settlement of Gagarin Mine, the settlement of the 6/7 Mine), Vesyoloye, Luganskoye, Petrovskoye, Zaichenko,” the report says.

During the shelling incidents against the DPR, 30 120-mm mortar shells we fired; once an 82-mm mortar was used (9 shells fired). Hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and tripod-mounted anti-tank grenade launchers were used three times, and small arms were used once. No victims among civilians were reported.

The shelling by the Ukrainian military over the period resulted in a direct hit of the hall of the distribution department of the North Water Supply Facility of the Donetskvodokanal Production Directorate of the Water of Donbass State Unitary Enterprise. The personnel of the directorate were evacuated, which suspended the water supply to the residents of the Kievsky region of Donetsk. Also, the roof of a residential building was damaged.

Reportedly, the Ukrainian side ignored the attempts made by the DPR to use the coordination mechanism to stop the fire for all the shelling incidents. “All our reports met the same answer: we do not confirm the shelling, we observe the ceasefire,” the press service stressed.
