The modern world is heading towards a catastrophe, and it is unclear whether it can be stopped, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan on April 11 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia One channel.
In the US, it has been perceived for a long time that Russia cannot achieve greatness without Ukraine, noted Kurginyan. Zbigniew Brzezinski, political scientist and the former high-ranking US Government official, has repeatedly said that “having an anti-Russian Ukraine is the main goal of the US foreign policy,” recalled the expert.
Now, the US is trying with all its might to push Ukraine towards attacking Donbass and to provoke a major war in this region, stressed the political scientist.
“Under Biden’s leadership, the current US administration is truly an evil threat on a global scale which can lead to a world war,” said Kurginyan.
In order to stop such a threat it has to be shown that “you cannot be so arrogant and obnoxious,” stressed the political scientist. According to him, it is necessary to get it over with the era of Russia’s integration into the Western world.
Russia and the entire world are at a turning point in their existence, where the most critical issue is what happens to Man, added Kurginyan.
“If Man is a beast with nuclear teeth that continue to grow, and he is prepared to destroy everything, then the world is heading towards this catastrophe anyway – many people understand this. This modern world is heading towards a disaster. And, it is unclear if it can be stopped,” explained Kurginyan.
It is impossible to protect the world from a catastrophe without resolving the main issue: what does it means to be Man, noted the analyst. According to Kurginyan, it is necessary to understand whether human ascension is possible, and whether it is possible to break the inertia of human degradation in which the US is the leader.
