DPR reconnaissance detects dozens of Ukrainian combat vehicles near Donbass borders

11.04.2021, Donetsk.

The reconnaissance of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) detected 49 units of military equipment of the Ukrainian army in towns and villages of Donbass, the DPR People’s Militia Directorate told reporters on April 11.

“The deployment of 49 units of Ukrainian army’s military equipment near residential houses and municipal facilities on the territory under Ukraine’s control was detected,” a representative of the DPR People’s Militia said.

In particular, among the detected equipment were BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, MT-12 Rapira anti-tank guns, 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery vehicle.

Since July 2020, additional ceasefire measures are to take effect in the Donbass, implying a complete ban on opening fire and offensive and reconnaissance-sabotage activities, as well as the stationing of weapons in villages and towns and their outskirts.

The situation on the contact lined in Donbass has recently become seriously deteriorated. Ukrainian forces are actively shelling the DPR and LPR positions and towns and villages, redeploying significant military forces and heavy equipment on the contact line. Experts say that a full-scale armed conflict between Ukraine and its curators and defenders of Donbass is approaching.
