Kurginyan: The power of the ruling class is based on dehumanization

The power of the ruling class is based on the alienation of people from the main thing – their own human essence, and thus on dehumanization, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on April 5 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia One TV channel.

Kurginyan recalled Karl Marx’s words about the attitude towards Man in bourgeois society. Marx wrote in the Communist Manifesto that the bourgeoisie “has resolved personal worth into exchange value, and in place of the numberless indefeasible chartered freedoms, has set up that single, unconscionable freedom — Free Trade.”

Western civilization, according to Kurginyan, is based on the total alienation of Man, on dehumanization for the sake of profit. The Soviet Union showed that a different approach was possible and feasible.

“As soon as another civilization was declared, in which this alienation from human essence was rejected and it was said that we would again ensure this connection with the human essence and everything else – they [the ruling class] were monstrously frightened. For the ruling class cannot retain power except through total alienation, that is eventually dehumanization,” said Kurginyan.

According to Kurginyan, Russia, which has the experience of life without alienation, is preventing this dehumanization and calls into question the very formula of the future world for the West.
