Kiev ignores the desire of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) to resolve the conflict with Ukraine politically and is currently preparing for a massive attack on the republics, the DPR leader Denis Pushilin said in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel on April 5.
“The DPR, as well as the LPR, has done and continues to do everything possible to ensure that the conflict is resolved politically. However, Kiev is set for a completely different line of action,” Pushilin said.
According to him, the Kiev authorities are sabotaging the negotiation process with the LPR and DPR and are concentrating their troops for a large-scale military attack on Donbass.
“Unfortunately, Kiev is set for a completely different line of action. Lies, manipulation – that’s all what we now have from the Ukrainian side. Under such conditions, the chance for a political settlement is negligible, if not equal to zero,” said the head of the DPR.
He noted that Kiev has both the manpower and technical capabilities to unleash a massacre against the LPR and DPR residents. According to him, Kiev has everything for this.
However, the DPR head said that the People’s Republics are also ready for any scenario.
“We are used to working in this mode, when for the last seven years we can expect anything from Ukraine. We are developing various scenarios in case of escalation, we are ready for that too,” he added.
