Ukrainian military shells school and residential buildings in LPR

The Ukrainian military’s shelling damaged a school and a number of residential buildings in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the representative of the LPR at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire (JCCCC) reported on March 26.

According to the representative, on March 25 the units of the 92nd Brigade of the Ukrainian army shelled the village of Zolotoye-5 twice, at 9.00 p.m. and at 11.10 p.m. (Moscow time zone), from the village of Zolotoye-4 occupied by the Ukrainian army.

In the village, the Ukrainian military damaged the building of School No 4 breaking its windows with the blast and fragments. The blasts destroyed windows in the residential buildings at Voykov Street 2/26 and Sverdlov Street 82, a grenade exploded in a summer kitchen at Pochtovaya Street 51, and a fence was damaged at Turgenev Street 5.

According to the representative, no victims were reported among civilians and servicemen of the People’s Militia.

When investigation into the results of the shelling was on its way, the Ukrainian military repeated shelling against the members of the JCCC and OSCE using an AGS-17 and small arms.

On March 24, the Ukrainian military violated twice the ceasefire at the frontline. The Ukrainian army shelled the villages of Nizhneye Lozovoye and Lozovoye using an 82-mm mortar and various grenade launchers, firing a total of 23 shells of different types.
