Kurginyan: US knows how to keep Europe on a firm chain

18.03.2021, Aleksandrovskoye.

Europe’s dependence of the USA is inconspicuous, although it becomes clear in situations that “require more tension,” political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on March 10 on the Topic program on the Donetsk Union channel.

Kurginyan agreed with “a very exact definition” given by the correspondent who said that Europe lost its identity due to its fatigue after the two world wars that began on its territory.

“Additionally, however, there is definitely a secret. They [the USA] did something to them [the European countries] through building a sort of unseen politics which allows them to pull a string and get everything back in their hands whenever the politics we can see try to move.”

According to the political scientist, the USA managed to put Germany and France on a hook after World War II, and now this hidden connection has transformed into “a very powerful system.”

Characterizing the situation today, Sergey Kurginyan reminded of a dialogue between Inquisitor and King Philip in Schiller’s tragedy “Don Carlos Infante of Spain.” In this dialogue, King expresses surprise that Inquisitor could allow Marquise of Posa, Don Carlos’ mentor, to go abroad. The Inquisitor gives the following advice to the king, “The chain with which he struggled, but which held him bound, though long, was firm.” King insists, “He has already been beyond the kingdom.” Inquisitor objects, “Where’er he traveled I was at his side.” With a similar firm dependence, according to Kurginyan, the US has managed to bind Europe.

“I cannot tell what this tie is. All the conspiracy theories are too trivial, while the real thing is well-made. It is so well-made that they are holding them really tight. Delicately and with love, though. It cannot be seen when tension is moderate, but as soon as situation requires higher tension, they pull it hard and put them back into the stall,” he explained his position.

Previously, Kurginyan had repeatedly said that the disintegration of the USSR was caused, in particular, by the late Soviet elite’s desire to hypothetically integrate with Europe, with a vague chance to create a sort of a united European space including Russia without its southern republics.

Today, the analyst believes, the Russian elite remains committed to this intention, although the EU’s lack of sovereignty has been proven in practice many times, especially in issues around Ukraine today.
