The plans of Soviet and Russian politicians to integrate Russia into Europe failed due to total lack of independence of the Old World, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on March 10 on the Topic program on the Donetsk Union channel.
“Europe is not sovereign. This is the main fact that we have to sadly acknowledge. All the Russian plans to integrate into Europe or ally with it relied on the expectation that Europe would either wake up and become sovereign or maintain some partial sovereignty. However, it has no sovereignty at all,” Kurginyan explained.
According to the political scientist, after 1992 it became clear that the European policy totally lacks independence, and that it is dictated from Washington.
“As soon as a pivotal situation occurs, Europe does what the US tells it. Unlike Ukraine, which does this in a servile and prompt manner, Europe would posture and grimace a little in order to look like it has some dignity before it obeys, but it would obey without protest,” Sergey Kurginyan concluded.
