A major war in Donbass is possible in the immediate future, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on February 21 on the TV program Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on the Russia 1 TV channel.
“Professional servicemen from the best elite troops of Europe, or, say, Great Britain, are already in Donbass and operating,” the political scientist explained. – “These are not private military companies, these are SAS – Her Majesty the Queen’s Special Air Service, and other units. They do work there. What are they sent there for? To have fun?“
The political analyst noted that according to some experts, the time is not yet right for military operations. “Of course, the time is a little late for the start of the war: after all, the end of February – spring is coming soon. But there are some other circumstances as well“.
Kurginyan reminded that this is not the first time Ukraine has assembled large armed formations on the border with the DPR and LPR. This in itself does not mean that war will inevitably start. Previously, in this way Kiev diverted the attention of the population from the tax increase and the drop in the government’s ratings.
“There were times when this all narrowly dodged a big war. But now the circumstances are quite enough suitable for a major war to start,” stressed the political scientist.
