The modern Russian elites must repeat what the Bolsheviks did at one point when they managed to abandon hopes pinned on the West’s false promises, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan on February 21 on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on Russia One channel.
The West demands that Russia “lick Navalny’s boots”. And if Russia refuses to do so, the West will cry that the Russian authorities are terrible bloody murderers, noted Kurginyan. And this means that Navalny acts as a typical tool for demeaning Russia, the political scientist explained.
“This means that a blockade is coming. A blockade! Not a war yet – that will come next – but first comes a blockade. Are we ready? Is at least one ministry? This entire government, what about them?” asked Kurginyan.
The Russian government is still coasting with inertia according to the old model: it still hopes for the Nord Stream and South Stream gas pipelines, stressed Kurginyan. However, it is time to hide these hopes in the closet, added the political scientist.
It is time “to take seriously what the Bolsheviks undertook in the 1930s, when they realized that all their hopes for a world revolution and everything else were the same as our hope for joining Europe. It is literally the same! All these hopes turned out to be the false promises”, stated Kurginyan.
“They came to their senses. They straightened out their minds, and somehow they managed to succeed. I hope we do too. And that such realization will not come too late, ” concluded the leader of the Essence of Time.
