Kurginyan explains where Russia’s pro-Western path will lead

Russia cannot move in two directions simultaneously, because such an attempt will end in collapse, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on January 31 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.

The political scientist expressed confidence that Russia must stop following the mainstream set by the West, which has proclaimed the end of history and humanity.

“Any pro-Western path is bad, and any pro-Russian path is good. When we took Crimea it was perfect, when we built the bridge it was perfect. As soon as we attempt to combine this with a pro-Western policy it becomes disastrous,” Kurginyan said.

Russia today, in the context of the cold war that has been declared against it, is torn apart between two elite groups. The pro-Western group still continues to support the failed policy of becoming part of Europe, while the patriotic group insists that an autonomous sovereign state should be built based on our own vision of development.

Because of the split in the elite, the country remains unprotected even with its advanced weapons. A new perestroika is supposed to destroy the state by the hands of the public itself. Kurginyan expressed confidence that had the elite been consolidated, no Navalny would have appeared, and certainly would not have been destabilizing the country from inside for the past 10 years.
