Kurginyan: A Nobel laureate was defamed, but the question of the virus origin remains unanswered

04.02.2021, Moscow.

If everyone is sure that the coronavirus was of natural origin, then why is the world, in fact, witnessing a ban on free discussion, although it is a key right for scientists? This is the issue that philosopher, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan discussed in the latest broadcast of his analytical program The Meaning of the Game, which was released on February 3 on YouTube channel.

Kurginyan stressed that scientists, whose standpoint is not to someone’s liking, are mysteriously being defamed in the situation around the coronavirus. As a result, we have already crawled into “the new world of muzzling dissent.”

The political scientist cited an interview about the origin of the coronavirus with Etienne Decroly, a senior researcher at Aix-Marseille University (France), which is the largest academic institution in the French-speaking world and one of the most authoritative. Kurginyan summed up the main points expressed by the respected expert.

“You have already defamed Luc Montagnier. You completely discredited him for the truth he told. I [referring to Etienne Decroly – Rossa Primavera News Agency] tell you the following.

First. You have no intermediate animal host. So, you cannot defend the natural zoonotic version as absolute. You do not have one. And the one that you put forward in order to quickly fool everyone cannot be considered as such. You don’t have one.  The entire scientific community has already spent a year chasing its tail in order to find it, and it hasn’t found it. That’sthefirstthing.

Second. Luc [Montagnier] showed four HIV inserts there [in the coronavirus], the fourth of which can’t be evolutionary. And it is the most important. So, of course, you defamed him, maybe you’ll defame me too. But sooner or later the quiet scientific truth will be told.

And third. I don’t insist on anything, says Etienne Decroly. I want all hypotheses to be considered, including a pathogen escaping the confines of a laboratory or artificiality,” Kurginyan explained the scientist’s position.

Kurginyan is sure that it is necessary to gather all leading scientists, who naturally have different points of view on the issue, “Let them speak out. Have a national discussion on the issue. (…) I am not saying that those who are being silenced are right. I am defending their right to be wrong.”
