Kurginyan on Navalny: Why was he not in jail?

03.02.2021, Moscow.

Blogger Aleksey Navalny receives support not only from Western intelligence services, but also inside Russia, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on January 24 on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.

The guests of the program discussed the support Navalny receives at the highest level from the USA and Europe. Even in Scotland, banners with his portrait have been posted all around.  The political scientist believes that we need to understand who his sponsors in Russia are.

“Let us begin with the most pressing issue, which no one wants to discuss: what is this person whose portraits are posted in the Scottish highlands?” Kurginyan wondered. “He is a criminal, who started with money laundering during election campaigns, then got into big trouble trying to launder money in the forest business, and then with scanners. He was supposed to be sentenced to prison, right? But why wasn’t he? Is this really all just about CIA schemes?”

He noted that Navalny could have been convicted in a number of criminal cases and given a prison sentence; but oddly enough, this did not happen. The political scientist believes that someone helped the blogger out.

“Now the boy has gone too far. Can I now get the answer who his patron is?” Kurginyan wondered. “Who offered him protection? Why was the criminal investigation file later found in the safe of a certain retiring internal affairs minister? Isn’t it clear that he was not the one who put it there? What happened? Indeed, can we discuss this strange story or not?”

As the Rossa Primavera News Agency reported on January 23, unauthorized protest rallies took place in various cities across Russia in support of Navalny. Most of the protesters were young people.
