The state of society in the US after the recent presidential elections is similar to the atmosphere after the Kennedy brothers’ assassinations, said political scientist, analyst, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on January 21 during the Donetsk Union Radio broadcast.
The social atmosphere in the US has changed entirely over ten months during the last year, said the leader of the Essence of Time. First of all, it happened because of the huge amount of dirt that came from the US Democratic Party.
“As for me, the disappointment level during the recent presidential elections can be compared with the disappointment experienced in the US when two assassinations took place: first, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and then Robert Kennedy. And it became clear that if presidents are not acceptable to the establishment, they can simply be physically eliminated,” said Sergey Kurginyan.
The public mood has changed a lot due to the Kennedy assassination, the US before and after the tragedy are completely different societies, stressed the political scientist. The elections and Donald Trump’s loss also had an impact on the society.
“Despite the suppression that took place, the mood and the tension in the society have heated up and the situation will not cool down quickly. This process will shake the US like ancient Rome was shaken by the war between Marius and Sulla in ancient times,” emphasized Kurginyan.
The civil war in the Roman Empire between the supporters of Lucius Cornelius Sulla and Gaius Marius the Younger took place in 88-82 BC. At the end of the bloody war, the republic was done with its old democracy, the victorious Sulla established a dictatorship and brutally purged the representatives of the opposing camp.
