The social division on the Whites and the Reds splits the people at the moment of confrontation between Russia and the West. And we can withstand only if we unify society around the Russian messianic idea, said political scientist, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on January 23 on the Right to Know! TV program on the TVC channel.
According to Kurginyan, the government’s conservative wing is based on tradition. At the same time, there are so-called White Guard groups, which create a black hole, taking 70 years of the Soviet period out of that tradition, which no one has ever been able to accomplish without splitting society.
According to the political scientist, this means that the groups sympathetic to the White Guard will have to recognize something from the Soviet tradition, just like all the pro-Soviet groups will have to acknowledge something from the pre-revolutionary period in history.
“What? What do they have in common? What do they have in common other than the Russian messianic belief that one should not live according to the law prescribed by the West? ” emphasized Kurginyan. “In order not to be bound for a place of order, realm of Protestants in the skies, but where bandit and whore and hoarder raise their voices to me: ‘Arise!'” quoting a poem by Nikolai Gumilyov describing the Russian messianic idea.
According to the analyst, the messianic idea is an important side of the Russian soul, and if it is not activated, it is impossible to withstand the pressure from the West.
“Besides that, what is there in common inside the Russian soul? Nothing. So if you don’t invoke it, then comes the question: how can you resist the West? ” – emphasized Kurginyan.
