The use of so-called color revolution technologies allowed Joe Biden to be elected president, political scientist, doctor of law, and professor at the Financial University under the Russian Government Igor Semenovsky said on January 8 in an interview with Rossa Primavera News Agency.
The expert believes that the seizure of the Capitol, which took place on January 6 in Washington, was provoked by Joe Biden supporters and not by those who marched in support of Donald Trump.
“I think we saw an element of the color revolution toolkit. But this time, in the US where the toolkit had been invented. Now one may believe that Biden’s rise to power is stained with blood. There were victims,” said Semenovsky.
The expert added that similar technologies were used in Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.
The political scientist believes that this situation will considerably worsen the US image in the world despite the fact that European countries’ leaders and official representatives were restrained in their comments about what had happened in the US.
According to Semenovsky, it will be harder for the US to pose itself on the international scene as an example of democracy, fair elections and turnover of power.
“Because everyone saw what happened in the place where representatives of the American people gather — in Congress: shooting, victims, the use of special means,” said Semenovsky.
It has been reported that Trump opponents participated in the seizure of the Capitol. Among them, some people were identified as Antifa and BLM activists who took the guise of supporters of the acting president.
