The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky cannot remain in power if the political process remains peaceful, and this is why he takes various measures to prepare to war in Donbass, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on December 28 in an interview to the Union Donetsk TV channel.
“This pacifist, peacemaker, this man who gained power through promises to establish peace is preparing a war,” Kurginyan said adding that the Russian officials understand this.
The political scientist listed a number of Zelensky’s moves suggesting that the president is preparing to a military conflict in the future. Kurginyan mentioned the Ukrainian president’s visits to the chief of the British MI6 intelligence service Richard Moore.
“This is a very peculiar person. He is a grandson of Irish terrorists, a person with far-reaching ambitions,” the expert noted.
The political scientist sees symptoms of concern suggesting war preparations in“the discussion of Ukraine’s nuclear status” as well as Zelensky’s establishing closer relations with the President of Turkey Recep Erdoğan and their discussion of a Ukrainian-Turkish anti-Russian alliance. Also, the expert explained that Ukraine is gradually drawing weapons to the border, and it has built a railway in a way to ensure convenient shipments of fuel and lubrication materials for the military equipment.
According to the political scientist, it is still unclear whether all Zelensky’s preparations will definitely end in war.
“Whether or not he will decide to do it, whether he will receive the command or not is a complicated question. People are not suicidal, nor are they heroes to make such a decision right away. They are trying to pass the buck between each other. The defense minister passes it to the chief of general staff, and the latter to Zelensky,” Kurginyan explained.
The political scientist described the reasons pushing Zelensky to war, and he noted that the Ukrainian president cannot keep the political process peaceful.
“The reason why he is preparing is not because he needs it or he wants blood, but because he turned out to be not only a shameful piece of nothing, but also a power-loving person. This means that he wants to find a way to retain power, and so does the gang he is fronting. He cannot remain in power within a peaceful political process,” Kurginyan stressed.
