Russian Aerospace Forces strikes against terrorist positions in Syria

The Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft struck against the positions of ISIL militants (organization banned in Russia) in the Raqqa province, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in Syria informed on January 4.

“Russian warplanes have carried out several airstrikes against ISIL (organization banned in Russia) positions on the outskirts of Rasafa town, southwest of Raqqa,” the source said.

There is no information about the results of the airstrikes.

Earlier, the ISIL militants (organization banned Russia) carried out two attacks on buses in Syria. One occurred on New Year’s Eve, and the other on January 3.

About 40 people became victims of the militants’ attacks. Some of them were the Syrian army’s servicemen.
