The political split in Ukraine has put president Vladimir Zelensky before a choice between dictatorship and war, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on December 28 during an interview to Donetsk’s TK Union channel.
The political scientist said that Zelensky has already led the country to a political split between relatively pro-Russian and pro-Bandera parts.
“Any elections, any democratic process will mark this split. How many votes will Zelensky have left? Will the people, who have been driven mad, elect him as president one more time? I will not discuss this,” said Sergey Kurginyan.
The leader of the Essence of Time explained that the Ukrainian president remaining in power has not succeed to form his own administrative apparatus. Kurginyan characterized Zelensky as a very peculiar person with an empty head, and one who is incapable of ruling.
According to Kurginyan, Zelensky will never secure a majority in the Ukrainian parliament. “This will never happen, but Ukraine is a parliamentary republic. What are he and his backers going to do? He can choose between changing the constitution and establishing a political dictatorship, or war. And he is preparing a war, this peacemaker who came to power with a promise to establish peace,” concluded Sergey Kurginyan.
The expert added that the madness of the Ukrainian people, which allowed comedian Vladimir Zelensky to be elected president, will not go away quickly as it is a protracted process.
