Social regress in Ukraine has led to the Ukrainian population’s insanity, resulting in “Zelenization” [electing Zelensky as president – translator’s note], political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on December 27 on the Weekly Panorama program on the Donetsk TK Union TV channel.
Kurginyan spoke about the consequences of the disintegration of the Soviet Union for all former Soviet republics. According to him, everywhere, “on all territories that emerged after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, a regress with certain ethnic and national traits took place.”
A sign of this regress was the deindustrialization and destruction of large, industrial complexes in the former Soviet republics. “The deculturation began everywhere; the destruction of the moral foundations of the society began everywhere; and this list can be continued,” the expert explained.
In Ukraine, the regress has slowly led to the “‘Zelenization’ of the Ukrainian population’s insanity,” said the political scientist. In his opinion, such madness is in no way intrinsic to the Ukrainian people, but a feature of Ukraine’s regress after the disintegration of the USSR.
“It’s the new cultural programs of education, it’s the hysterical television, it’s the regress. DoyoucallthisEurope?! Please…,” Kurginyan added.
Social, industrial and cultural degradation has affected all parts of the former Soviet Union, but in some states, it is being contained, Kurginyan noted.
He gave the example of Russia after Putin’s rise to power, “I won’t say that these tendencies were reversed there, but they were contained. They became much smoother and more compatible with some kind of human life.”
The political scientist and public figure also responded to the question of what forces restrained or accelerated degradation in the former Soviet republics.
“They [regressive tendencies – Rossa Primavera News Agency’s editorial note] are restrained everywhere by the forces of national sanity which retained certain memories of the historical past. The pro-Western and self-denying forces are accelerating them everywhere,” Kurginyan concluded.
