Ukraine will never fulfill the Minsk agreements aiming to establish peace in Donbass, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on December 27 on the Panorama Nedeli TV program on Donetsk’s TK Union channel.
According to the expert, there is no prospect that Kiev will fulfill at least some terms of these international agreements, which were signed by Ukrainian presidents Pyotr Poroshenko and Vladimir Zelensky.
The political scientist believes that the power in Ukraine is in the hands of fierce madmen, who cannot fulfill the Minsk agreements. The main reason is that the agreements set rules and protect the Donbass population by legal means.
If the Minsk agreements were realized, Donbass would be protected by law. Kurginyan explained, “You have an army, a border, a parliament, and all the other attributes. This means establishing a confederation, at least on this territory.”
Otherwise, one would have to rely on the goodwill of scoundrels ready to send heavy bombers against peaceful cities, stressed the expert.
It is to be noted that since autumn 2020 the Ukrainian forces have considerably increased the number of provocations on the borders with the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The Ukrainian army has been shelling on a regular basis not only the Republics’ armies, but also civil facilities such as schools, hospitals and houses.
