13.12.2020, Damascus.

The governmental forces managed to repel the attack of the Islamists in southern Idlib in Syria, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in Syria informs on December 12.

According to the source, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled an attack of the militants from the Ansar al-Tawhid group (organization banned in Russia) near al-Fatira village in southern Idlib. There is no information about losses of the SAA and among militants.

The Turkish military has been reducing the number of observation posts in Hama and Idlib provinces, which have appeared to be in the rear of the SAA after the offensives of 2019 and 2020.

The Turkish army removes observation posts in the rear of the Syrian military and moves them to Idlib territory under control of the militants. Against this background, the Russian Air Force bombed militant positions in Mashun village in the Al-Zawiyah Mountains in southern Idlib on November 27.
