Crimea can be returned to Ukraine only by force, former representative of the Ukrainian side in the Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbass and the country’s former ambassador to Belarus Roman Bessmertny said on the air of the ATR Crimean Tatar TV channel on December 11.
“After five years, there is no doubt that there is the only way to solve these problems – returning these territories. We need to say clearly now – these territories can be returned by force,” the diplomat said.
According to him, the annexation of Crimea should proceed in two stages. First of all, it is necessary to relocate all “who are loyal” from the peninsula The diplomat did not specify how exactly this should be done. Then it will be necessary to use the army.
“And next thing to do is to solve this problem by improving the army, developing the defense complex and planning military operations,” he added.
