Kurginyan: LPR and DPR can directly reunite with Transnistria

10.12.2020, Moscow.

Ukraine’s aggressive actions against Donbass and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) could lead to the reunification of the LPR and DPR with the PMR, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on December 6 on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on Russia One TV channel.

“In Transnistria, you [Ukraine] are meddling in matters that don’t concern you. Have you lost your heads? Do you understand what the response will be? What this end of the Ukrainian state will look like? Don’t you understand? I am explaining a simple thing to you. It will be the reunion of the LPR and DPR with Transnistria,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement said.

Answering the Ukrainian side’s question how exactly the LPR and DPR can reunite with Transnistria, Kurginyan said “directly”.

On November 20, the elected president of Moldova Maia Sandu stressed in her interview to the Ukrainian European Pravda online newspaper that Russian peacekeepers must leave Transnistria. Ukraine supported Sandu’s statement.

Russian peacekeepers have been in Transnistria since 1992, under an agreement between Russia, Moldova, and Transnistria.
