Turkey rebuilds an observation post in Syria into a real fortress

03.12.2020, Damascus.

The Turkish army fortified and armed a new observation post in Idlib province, a Rossa Primavera News Agency‘s source in Syria informed on 3 December.

“The Turkish Army did a good job fortifying and arming the new observation post west of al-Bara in southern Idlib,” the source said.

Many soldiers and armored vehicles have been deployed to the new base in the Jebel al-Zawiyah area, an agency interlocutor added. The number of troops deployed is not specified.

Also, a video in which three large columns of military vehicles and construction machines were moving toward the new Turkish base was widely distributed in the local social networks.

Turkey had shut down several observation posts in Hama province, which were located in the rear of the Syrian army. Experts link the Turkish army’s moves to the agreements between Moscow and Ankara.
