International coalition sends military convoy to Syria

21.11.2020, Damascus.

The US-led international coalition sent a military convoy to Deir ez-Zor province, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source informed on November 21.

“The international coalition’s military convoy with material and technical equipment, vehicles, and ammunition arrived at the Koniko base in northern Deir ez-Zor province,” the source said.

On September 6, 2017, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces liberated Deir ez-Zor. Some areas in the north and east of the region are under the control of Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The SDF and the international coalition are allies, including joint control over several oil and gas fields in Deir ez-Zor and Hasaka provinces.
